Breast reduction at May Plastic Surgery is an outpatient procedure performed under general anesthesia. Dr. May tailors his approach based on your breast size, how much reduction you're seeking, and the overall look you want to achieve.
Dr. May removes excess breast tissue, fat, and skin while reshaping the remaining tissue to create a proportionate, lifted appearance. He repositions the nipples and areolas to a more youthful height and can reduce their size if needed. For many patients, he combines breast reduction with liposuction to define the outer breast border and create smooth transitions.
Breast reduction uses incision patterns similar to breast lift surgery, typically a lollipop or anchor incision. Which technique is used depends on the amount of tissue being removed.
