What Is HALO TRIBRID?
Skin often benefits from several layers of renewal. HALO TRIBRID is the world’s first triple-wavelength resurfacing laser, able to address several concerns in one highly customized treatment. It refreshes your appearance by improving tone, texture and overall skin quality without the need for separate devices spread out across multiple appointments.
It works by combining three independently controlled wavelengths in a single handpiece: 2940 nm, 1927 nm and 1470 nm. You might know these numbers better as the original dual-wavelength HALO laser (2940 nm and 1470 nm) and the MOXI laser (1927 nm).
One renews the surface of the skin, while another targets fine lines, sun damage and uneven pigmentation. The third reaches more deeply to stimulate collagen remodeling. Your provider can use them separately or combine them in different proportions based on your concerns, skin type and preferred recovery time.

A Closer Look at the Technology
- 2940 nm: The ablative (resurfacing) wavelength, meaning it vaporizes the top layer of skin to remove damage, improve texture and stimulate deep structural remodeling. Instead of fully ablating the top layer of skin, HALO TRIBRID uses a fractional approach, removing microscopic columns in an evenly spaced pattern, much like aerating a lawn.
- 1927 nm: A nonablative wavelength (the MOXI wavelength) that excels at treating superficial and pigment-heavy concerns, including dark spots and the early signs of aging. This wavelength is especially known for brightening dull, tired skin.
- 1470 nm: A nonablative wavelength that targets the deeper dermal layers to improve fine lines, textural concerns and collagen loss. If 1927 nm is the brightening wavelength and 2940 nm is the resurfacing wavelength, 1470 nm is the remodeling wavelength, working below the surface to support firmer, smoother skin over time.

Procedure Details
Before the laser is ever switched on, our team ensures the conditions are right for optimal results: your skin should be free from makeup, not sunburned, and clear of any active infections. If you arrive with freshly tanned or sunburned skin, your session will be rescheduled.
Once treatment has been deemed safe, your provider will select the wavelength combination that fits your goals best. With the HALO TRIBRID, the 2940 nm erbium wavelength resurfaces the outermost layer, the 1927 nm thulium wavelength addresses pigment and discoloration in the upper dermis, and the 1470 nm diode wavelength reaches deeper to support collagen remodeling. They can be used together or independently, depending on the situation.
As the handpiece is moved across the treatment area, the device’s Dynamic Thermal Optimization (DTO) continuously monitors skin temperature and adjusts in real time. With every pass, energy levels stay consistent and integrated cooling keeps your skin comfortable to reduce any heat you might feel.
Recovery & Results
For the first day or two after your treatment, you may notice that your skin feels warmer and looks a little more flushed than usual, similar to a mild sunburn. While this is normal and expected, cold compresses can soothe the treated area, with the bonus effect of reducing any swelling that occurs. Later, some “bronzing” can also develop, a temporary phenomenon that results in tiny dark spots and a rough, sandpaper-like texture, caused by treated cells working their way to the surface before flaking off. Bronzing will be most apparent in heavily pigmented areas.
After your treatment, our team will walk you through a simple aftercare routine. This typically includes guidelines on gentle cleansing, hydration and sun protection, along with personalized product recommendations. If additional sessions are being scheduled to target stubborn acne scars or pigmentation, these will be put on the calendar before you leave to maintain your momentum with a consistent treatment plan.
Full results take some time to develop, but the HALO glow usually shows up first. Most patients notice a visibly brighter complexion within the first two weeks. Deeper structural changes, including a firmer, more even texture, take a little longer to appear. These long-term improvements come from an increase in collagen production and can typically be seen three to six months after your last treatment.
