Melissa May, BSN, RN, is an aesthetic provider at May Plastic Surgery in Charlotte's SouthPark. She started out as a travel Emergency and Trauma nurse, moving between hospitals and caring for patients on some of their hardest days. That fast, high-pressure work is where she learned to stay calm and put the patient first, and it still shapes how she treats everyone in her chair.

In Dallas, Melissa moved into facial plastics and aesthetic medicine. She spent five years training and working alongside one of the nation's leading Galderma injectors, caring for surgical patients through their recovery and assisting with facial plastic surgery procedures. Those years taught her that effective injecting depends on knowing the underlying anatomy. Dallas is also where she met Dr. Brian May.

Melissa and Dr. May moved to Charlotte in 2022 to be closer to family. She kept working in aesthetics before joining the practice, where she now leads injectable care. She takes time to understand what you actually want, builds a plan around your features and goals, and keeps your results natural and personalized rather than trendy. Having you look and feel your best is what drives Melissa's passion for this industry.

Outside the office, Melissa spends her time with her husband, Dr. Brian May, and their son, Nasher. You can find them walking in Myers Park with their two dogs, Samantha and Lemmon, and spending time with their friends and family across Charlotte.
