Shay Kicklighter, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant and aesthetic injector at May Plastic Surgery in Charlotte's SouthPark. She began her career in neurosurgery, which gave her a deep respect for anatomy and a careful, precise approach. That training has shaped the way she injects today.
Shay built her aesthetic career in Texas before moving to Charlotte in 2024. Before joining the practice, she worked full time as a clinical trainer, teaching new injectors how to treat patients well. That experience sharpened her own technique and left her certain that good results start with good education.
At May Plastic Surgery, she pairs that clinical background with a warm, personalized consultation. She wants you to understand your options and feel confident in the plan before anything begins, and she is happiest when a first-time patient becomes someone she sees for years.
Shay earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mercer University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Outside the office, she loves fitness and exploring all that Charlotte has to offer.
